On August 13, there was already 50,000 people camping out.
After 500,000 people arrived to the concert, the police began to turn away cars.
There were many traffic jams. Rain left the ground a huge mud puddle and contributed to the bad conditions.
Lines were up to 30 minutes for water and an hour to use the bathroom. The event was very overcrowded with a lack of supplies and food. Santana, Grateful Dead, The Who, and Jimi Hendrix are examples of popular well-known artists that played at the concert.

The concert left the four creaters in $1 million worth of debt, due to their unpredicted audience. They did not make a profit which was their original goal and lawsuits filed against them. The profits from the Woodstock movie later contributed to the debt, but in the end the debt was left at $100,000.

This concert defined the generation, its culture, and their anti-war attitudes.
